On the 19th and 20th of August, Climb Central held our 2nd edition of Climb-a-ton! During this highly anticipated climbing carnival, climbers aim to complete 42.195 climbing routes with their buddies and kakis in less than 3 hours!
Both days saw climbers of all ages and climbing abilities having fun and fighting hard to break their own personal records!
Here, we have the young ones participating in the Kids Half Marathon, where they aimed to complete 21 climbs under an hour!
Something new this year: A buddy boulder problem for the remaining 0.195 route! Participants will have to complete this final challenge before proceeding to the finish line!
During both days, there were also fringe activities held by our supportive sponsors!
GoPro, the Official Action Camera of Climb-a-ton, was here with us on both days so climbers could rent GoPros from the booth to record their climbs and create their very own Climb-a-ton Quik Stories!
Search #Climbaton2017 on Instagram to experience Climb-a-ton from the perspective of the climbers! For a 2nd consecutive year, participants also got to enjoy a shiok massage after their climbs, courtesy of our sponsor, PowerUp Express!
Decathlon, who kindly sponsored each and every one of the goodie bags with a chalk bag, also had an interactive booth where climbers raced to tie knots in the shortest time possible and got to win prizes!
That's a lot going on for the participants within their 3-hour timeslots! More reasons to complete 42.195 climbs in as little time possible! Waiting at the finishing line for participants of the Climbing Buddies category, were also exclusive Climb-a-ton 2017 finisher tees!
Participants who didn't have enough time to take part in the fringe activities also had the chance to be winners, as there were many lucky draw prizes being given out throughout the event!
Awesome lucky draw prizes included Yunomori Onsen day passes, Skull Candy headphones sponsored by OST Singapore, chalk packs and shoe bags sponsored by Climb Asia, and a slackline sponsored by Decathlon! Congratulations to all the winners of Climb-a-ton 2017!
