Event Information
When and where is Climbaton 2026 happening?
Climbaton 2026 will take place on 21 and 22 November 2026 across:
Climb Central Funan → Climb Central Kallang
Participants will begin their climbing session at Funan before making their way to Kallang to complete the event.
What are the available session timings?
There will be two sessions on both event days:
Session 1: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Session 2: 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Participants should arrive earlier for check-in, warm-up and the compulsory event briefing.
What time do I need to report?
For Session 1, check-in will take place from 7:30am - 8:30am, followed by the participant briefing from 8:30am - 9:00am.
For Session 2, check-in will take place from 12:00pm - 1:00pm, followed by the participant briefing from 1:00pm - 1:30pm.
We strongly encourage all participants to arrive within the stated check-in period.
What happens if I am late?
Participants should arrive punctually so that they do not miss the compulsory event briefing or the start of their climbing session.
Late arrivals will not receive additional climbing time, and may miss important safety and event instructions.
The Climbaton Challenge
What do I need to complete during Climbaton?
Each team will have 3 hours to complete:
42 high-wall routes + 1 buddy boulder
Of the 42 high-wall routes, at least 20 must be graded 3-pie and above.
Does every participant have to complete 42 routes?
No, the 42 high-wall routes are completed collectively as a team.
Each successful climb will be attributed to the individual team member who completed it.
Can my teammate and I complete the same route?
Yes, different members of the same team may complete the same route.
However, the same climber cannot climb the same route more than once.
Do we have to climb the routes in a fixed order?
No, teams may choose from the available climbing lanes and routes throughout the event.
Participants will need to manage their own route selection, pacing and strategy while working towards the required 42 climbs.
What happens after we finish the 42 high-wall routes?
Teams will proceed to complete the buddy boulder as the final component of Climbaton.
A team must successfully complete the full Climbaton requirement within the 3-hour session to qualify as a finisher.
Teams & Eligibility
What are the team categories?
There are two categories:
Climbing Buddies — Team of 2
Climbing Kakis — Team of 3
What are the age requirements?
For Climbing Buddies, all participants must be aged 13 years old and above.
For Climbing Kakis, a maximum of 1 child aged 12 years old or below is permitted. If a child aged 12 or below is included, at least 1 other participant must be aged 18 years old or above.
Can I participate alone?
No, Climbaton is a team event.
Participants must register either as a Climbing Buddies team of 2 or Climbing Kakis team of 3.
Can First-Timers participate?
No, participants must not be First-Timers.

How much does registration cost?
Climbing Buddies — Team of 2
Early Bird: $130.80
Normal: $152.60
Climbing Kakis — Team of 3
Early Bird: $179.85
Normal: $212.55
All prices are GST inclusive.
Can I register on the event day?
No, participants must complete their registration in advance.
Same-day registrations will not be available.
Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend?
No, registration fees are non-refundable once payment has been made and the booking has been confirmed.
Shirts & Goodie Bag
What does my registration include?
Each registered participant will receive:
1x Participant T-Shirt
1x Goodie Bag
Participants who successfully complete Climbaton will also receive:
1x Finisher T-Shirt
When will I receive my participant shirt and goodie bag?
You may pick up your goodie bags at our Climb Central Funan outlet starting from 16 November 2026 onwards.
Participants are advised to pick up their goodie bags prior to the event day.
How do I qualify for the Finisher Shirt?
Your team must successfully complete 42 high-wall routes + 1 buddy boulder problem within your allocated 3-hour session.
Can I change my shirt size after registering?
Participants should carefully refer to the shirt sizing chart before submitting their preferred size during registration.
Equipment
Do I need to bring my own climbing equipment?
Yes, climbing equipment is not included with your registration.
Participants should bring their own climbing equipment for the event.
Can I rent equipment?
Yes, shoes and harness will be available for rent at $9.00 (GST incl.) over the counter.
Moving Between Funan & Kallang
Do we need to climb at both outlets?
Yes, Climbaton takes place across Climb Central Funan and Climb Central Kallang.
Participants will start at Funan before making their way to Kallang during their 3-hour session.
When should we leave Funan for Kallang?
The latest recommended departure timings are:
Session 1: 11:00am
Session 2: 3:30pm
Participants are responsible for managing their own pacing and travel time so that they can complete the event before their session ends.
Is transport between Funan and Kallang provided?
No, participants will be responsible for making their own way from Funan to Kallang.
Only public transportation via MRT is allowed — no use of personal vehicles (car, motorcycle etc.)
Scoring & Rules
How will we record our climbs?
Climbaton 2026 will be using a digital team scorecard.
Teams will record successful climbs throughout the event, with each completed route attributed to the teammate who completed it.
Detailed scorecard instructions will be shared with participants closer to the event.
Will there be judges checking every climb?
Climbaton will operate on an honour-based self-scoring system.
Event marshals will be present to oversee climbing safety, observe the event and address any potential scoring or rule discrepancies.
Where can I find the full Rules & Regulations?
The complete Climbaton 2026 Rules & Regulations will be made available to registered participants before the event.
Participants are responsible for familiarising themselves with the rules before taking part.
