Top Rope Verification
What is Top Rope Verification and why do I need it?
Top Rope Verification allows you to belay on the top rope walls using a belay device attached to your harness.
What are the pre-requisites for me to attend Top Rope Verification?
Climbers should have attended a Top Rope Class OR have at least 1 year of climbing and belaying experience. Climbers would also need to be at least 13 years old to undergo verification and belay in our facilities.
Why can't I book a Top Rope Verification slot at Sports Hub/Funan?
Top Rope Verification is only available at Climb Central Novena and Climb Central i12 Katong (on selected Combined Verification days) as we have a wall that is specifically set up for Top Rope Verifications.
Lead Verification
What is Lead Verification and why do I need it?
Lead verification allows you to lead climb and lead belay within our facilities.
What are the pre-requisites for me to attend Lead Verification?
Climbers should have attended a Lead Class OR have at least 3 years of lead climbing and lead belaying experience. Climbers would also need to be at least 13 years old to undergo verification and belay in our facilities.
Why can't I book a Lead Verification slot at Novena?
We do not have lead climbing facilities at Climb Central Novena.
Verification Reservation System
Do I need to make a booking reservation for verification?
We recommend making a booking to secure a confirmed verification slot as walk-ins will be subject to availability.
What if I can't make it on the scheduled verification slots?
We will be releasing new verification slots on a quarterly basis. Do keep a lookout on our website for new verification dates!
Can I continue climbing after my verification slot?
Absolutely! You would have till the end of the day to show off your swanky new verification tag on the wall!
Can I do an ad-hoc verification?
All ad-hoc verifications are suspended till further notice.
Can I book a verification slot just for myself?
Verification is more fun when done in pairs. Please find a partner that’s either already verified or wants to be verified.
What happens if I'm late for my verification slot?
We require our climbers to show up for their verification slot on time. If you are late for your verification slot, we may push you back to a later time slot (subject to availability). However, if there are no available slots, we reserve the right to not conduct the verification and no refunds would be given.
Can I cancel or change my verification slot?
There will be no cancellations or changes allowed for verification slots due to the limited slots available. We ask that our climbers are certain of their attendance before making their bookings for verification.
